1. Phase Overview
MetaForge is delivered in four phases, each building on the previous:
| Phase | Version | Timeline | Agents | Disciplines | Key Milestone |
|---|
| Phase 0 | — | Month 0-1 | 0 | 0 | Specs finalized, architecture frozen |
| Phase 1 | v0.1-0.3 | Month 2-7 | 6-7 | 6-7 | Mechanical vertical end-to-end |
| Phase 2 | v0.4-0.6 | Month 8-13 | 19 | 19 | KiCad write, IDE extensions |
| Phase 3 | v0.7-1.0 | Month 14-18 | 25 | 25 | Full 25-discipline coverage |
2. Phase 0 — Spec & Design (Month 0-1)
Objective
Finalize all specification documents before development begins. No code is written in Phase 0.
Deliverables
Exit Criteria
- All 6 spec documents reviewed and approved.
- Architecture diagram finalized.
- ADR-001 (PydanticAI + Temporal) ratified.
- Development environment setup documented.
- CI/CD pipeline configured.
3. Phase 1 — MVP (v0.1-0.3, Month 2-7)
Objective
Deliver the first end-to-end vertical: Mechanical Agent (MET-8). A user can submit a CAD model, run FEA stress analysis, validate against constraints, and see results committed to the Digital Twin.
Timeline: 6 months total
- Months 2-5 (3-4 months): Core development
- Months 6-7 (1-2 months): Testing, documentation, stabilization
Scope
| What's Included | What's Excluded |
